Carrum Sailing Club is a great place to sail, located on the sandy beaches of south east Port Phillip Bay, just south of the Patterson River. We sail trailerable yachts, off the beach dinghies and catamarans on most Sundays. People of all ages and experience are welcome. Enjoy first class facilities for all family members in our club house facing the beach, adjacent to the Carrum Lifesaving Club.

The Kingston Harvest Festival is a one-day, family-oriented, active and diverse musical event, featuring a stellar line-up of country and bluegrass music, and activities for children.

At Patterson River Motor Boat Club - The Foreshore Stephens St Carrum - Just a short walk from the sailing club.
Bring something substantial to share. There will be live music also so will be a great event!

Beaumaris Theatre Nights
Beaumaris Theatre is again having its top class theatre nights. Shows include Still Life, Radio Play, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and the Vicar of Dibley. Carrum usually books a block of tables for cabaret style seating. Shows can be previewed at http://beaumaristheatre.com.au/newsletters/2012/newsletter_feb_2012.pdf.

Wine Tasting Night
A wine tasting night was held at the clubhouse on friday 17th February. The event was well attended and a selection of wines from South Australia, New Zealand, Mornington Peninsula and Margaret River were offered for tasting and purchase.
All attending, including a good number of our friends from Patterson River Motor Boat Club, were treated to a discription of each wine and its history from a local expert.
Thanks to Lee and Graham Deacon for organisiing the event. also to those who helped on the night including Erin Blencowe who brought the tasty selection of cheeses.
Kingston Council Challenge
The Kingston Council Challenge was again held in conjunction with its community Sausage sizzle celebrating AUSTRALIA DAY.
Ian Blencowe was the winner with a time of 8.61 min just 0.01 minutes or 0.6 seconds ahead of Rocky Naughtin.
Thanks to Kingston council for sponsoring the event and to Pat King of the village committe for his involvemnt in the organisatioon and cooking of sausages.
Cambur Motors Challenge
Held on November 6th The Cambur Motors Challenge was won by Mark Holter & Crew of Silver Cloud a Noelex 30.

Social membership
A membership category that of Social member has been introduced to the club.
This category of membership will entitle those taking up this option to use the club facilities when the club is open but not skipper or crew on a boat.
The fee has been set at $50

The format is the same as the last season. The windward/leeward race was held on November 6th, 2011. The race is open to all trailerable (including sports trailerable) and Off the beach boats. $500 prizemoney to 1st and $100 to 2nd on CBH/yardstick.
